CDC offers guidance for fleets, truckers
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued guidance specifically for trucking companies and drivers to help protect them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agency says trucking companies “should have a COVID-19 response plan to protect drivers, following CDC Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers.” Among recommendations CDC offers for fleets are:

  • Take steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 if a driver is sick by encouraging sick drivers to stay home
  • Provide drivers with accurate information about COVID-19, how it spreads and risk of exposure
