Walmart institutes new fees to squeeze shippers, carriers into on-time deliveries

Walmart has instituted new shipping and delivery policies that could strap carriers with extra fees for deliveries that are late, mispackaged or delivered earlier than the scheduled delivery time. Beginning Aug. 1, trucking companies will be able to dispute certain crashes that were ruled preventable and could have those crashes removed from their Compliance, Safety, Accountability scores.
