Kirk has worked for and managed several of the largest facilities and operations for some of the largest multi-billion-dollar transportation and logistics companies in the world. Prior to the purchase of Proficient, Kirk was V.P. Global Freight Management for APL and GATX Logistics. Kirk also served as V.P. Transportation North America for the Global giant Exel Logistics, and was the President and founder of Innovative Logistics, Director Operations Planning for Carolina Freight Corp and Director Marketing for Burlington Northern Railroad.
Kirk earned his BS in Transportation and Logistics Management from Kent State University with continuing education courses at schools such as Kellogg Graduate School of management at Northwestern University, Georgia Tech, The Ohio State University, Stanford University, and the University of Wisconsin. He is the current Vice Chairman of the American Auto Haulers Association, an active member of the Auto Carrier Conference of the American Trucking Association, the Florida Trucking Association, and the Jacksonville Transportation Club and a frequent speaker at various industry trade events such as the annual Finished Vehicle Logistics Conferences.
