The number of new vehicle sales in the United States continued to grow in 2012, on pace for an estimated 14.5m units. Predictions for 2013 so far point to moderate increases that could approach 15m units. As volumes recover, OEMs and vehicle logistics providers have been carefully monitoring the need for sufficient truck transport capacity.
